Our creative arts courses include lots of opportunities for you to get hands-on experience in the world of work, including:Work experience with businesses like Clothes Show Live, The Royal Opera House, Kingdom Creative, The Wine Society, Herts For Learning and the National Youth TheatreDesigning and making large-scale installation workPartaking in the annual in-house fashion show, exhibitions and performancesOpportunities to work on collaborative projects across creative arts and other course areasYou will access inspirational teaching sessions and complete work-based projects. You will also work with employers and the local community on individual projects.Skills and techniques you will learn include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects, drawing, mixed-media and photography, idea development, critical reflection and portfolio building.In year 2, you will enter the Royal Opera House Design Challenge competition in either the set design or marketing catagory. The college is a flagship centre for the Design Challenge and previous winners have exhibited at the V&A and gained work experience at the Royal Opera House.Our courses are awarded by University of Arts London and, as a level 3 student, you will have the opportunity to apply for their Insight Programme in London over the holiday periods.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English; or, Four GSCEs at grade C or above, plus functional skills level 1 English; A level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area, passed with a merit or distinction grade - plus English GCSE grade C or above, or functional skills level 2 English.
