Applied Business AS-Level
at Whitley Bay High School, Whitley Bay · school or sixth form
What the college says
Whilst definite plans to develop a career in the vocational area are not essential, students embarking on an Applied Business course should have a genuine interest in the world of business. Students must be prepared to work at a high standard throughout the course as the portfolio of evidence that is produced is used in the final assessment and grade allocations.
What you need to get on
Students must achieve at least a grade 4 in GCSE English Language or Literature. It would be desirable if students had studied GCSE Business Studies, but this is not essential.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
