p This course is made up of two Level 2 Awards; you will need to apply for Principles of Science BTEC Level 2 First Award too. Each Award is equivalent to one GCSE and is made up of four Mandatory units. These mandatory units cover aspects of biology chemistry and physics and focus on how our knowledge of these sciences is used in everyday life. What you need to get on

p You need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English Language and Science. Another written subject may be considered. GCSE maths would be preferred. /p p The more you can remember from your Key Stage 3 and GCSE Science the better but the course covers all the main ideas you need again. General knowledge about science and how it impacts on our life is useful and an interest in new scientific discoveries. An ability to meet deadlines and organise yourself. /p
