The course is recognised by universities and the grades achieved (Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction*) are given UCAS points equivalent to A level grades. The course counts as a single A-level option and therefore is worth one A-Level. The course has a number of attractions. There is a mixture of coursework and exams spread across the two years, to balance your workload. Coursework units are marked internally and then assessed by an external moderator. Some assignments will be written, whilst others will be based on information leaflets and posters or will be practically assessed. There is practical work and the opportunity of work experience to supplement this course.
