The Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification Cambridge National Advanced in Health and Social Care (Extended Certificate) is a course to develop and apply skills, knowledge and understanding in health, social care and childcare. This qualification is not about teaching how to care for babies or the elderly and the ill; however, it will provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will allow you to progress onto Higher Education on a health and social care-related programme such as Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work or Early Childhood Studies.

What you need to get on

6th Form entry: The overall 6th Form entry requirements are: a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including a grade 9-4 in English. Subject specific entry: Grade 4 in English and grade 4,4 in Science and Level 2 Pass in Health & Social Care if studied.
