The Cambridge Advanced National in Health and Social Care will offer students the opportunity to develop skills and key technical knowledge and understanding related to working in a health and social care sector. The course will allow students to develop an understanding of the diverse and complex nature of the Health and Social Care sector and to think creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically. Students will develop communication skills and develop transferable learning, such as evaluation, planning, presentation and research skills. They will also develop independence and confidence in applying the knowledge and skills that are vital to the health and social care sector and more widely. This is a vocational subject developed to provide a basis for further training, education or to move into appropriate employment within the health and social care sector.

What you need to get on

Standard sixth form entry requirements: 5 GCSEs graded at 4 or above (counting 2 BTECs maximum) which must include a grade 4 in English or Maths. In addition to the normal entry requirements for an advanced course, students must have a grade 4 in GCSE English.
