The health and social care sector employs vast numbers of people across the country, within a varied range of job roles. In fact, it's the biggest employment sector in the UK and includes elements of the NHS, local authority adult and child care services, and a range of independent providers that provide care in a range of settings. Alternative Academic qualifications (AAQ) are created for students aged 16+ in either school or Further Education. A high-quality alternative to A Levels. Units complement each other and students are continually assessed throughout Year 12 and 13 making this course accessible for all learning needs.

What you need to get on

Applicants must have at least 5 GCSE passes at grade 4 and above, including English Language and Science. Having a Level 2 Pass or above in Health and Social Care, Child Development is a bonus, but isn’t essential to get onto the course.
