This course is specifically aimed at young people wanting to study a medically related course at university, or to take up an apprenticeship in the medical sector or career straight after school. It would work well with the Applied Science AAQ which adds some essential Chemistry knowledge and also Physics knowledge. It is ideal for students who would enjoy completing regular assignments and project work. The course is made up of 4 units of work; there are 2 examined units and 2 assignment assessed units. The course covers essential knowledge about the human body and microbiology and has a focus on diagnosing and treating diseases of all types.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 5,5 in Combined Science, if triple award Biology and Chemistry must both be at least a Grade 5, and Grade 5 in Maths.
