What the college says
This qualification is designed to allow students to enter employment within the IT sector upon completion or allow them to continue their learning at university level. Students will develop hands on experience with designing and developing a web site and a relational database to meet a client’s requirements. Students will explore how IT is used within every organisation and industry worldwide and how it benefits us all as well as develop cyber security skills.
What you need to get on
Grade 6 or above at GCSE in Computer Science or Creative iMedia. It is not essential to have studied IT at GCSE but an interest in the subject, willingness and ability to work independently and be self-motivated is a must.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
