If you are enthusiastic about caring and helping people and want to develop the skills and knowledge, you will find this course challenging and interesting. The course is vocational and taught by vocationally trained teachers. You will learn by completing assignments based on realistic workplace situations enabling you to gain an excellent understanding of the skills and techniques required in the industry whilst having the opportunity to attend work placements to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. You will have two units that will be examined externally. This course will prepare you for entry into employment in the social care sector, or for higher level study such as an HND or Degree courses in Social Work, Nursing, Education, Occupational Therapy, Policing, Law, Psychology and many more.

Level 3 Entrance Criteria 5A*-D/9-3 required including a D/3 in English Lang and maths. Level 2 BTECs accepted at Pass level. min APS 3.5
