Chemistry is the study of matter on a sub-microscopic scale. Particles are almost unimaginably tiny, but the ways that they are arranged and interact with each other govern many day-to-day processes. In A Level Chemistry, we take our GCSE knowledge and advance one step closer to understanding the true nature of our wonderful, chemical, universe.
What you need to get on
Grade 7 or above in Chemistry GCSE, or Grade 7 or above in the Chemistry component of a Science Double Award GCSE. Grade 7 or above in Mathematics GCSE.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
