What the college says

Functional Maths is an approach to teaching maths that helps people to gain the most out of life, learning and work. Joining a Functional Maths class will give you the opportunity to improve your maths skills and to use these skills for practical problem-solving. It will build your confidence in how to use maths in all aspects of your everyday life.There will be up to 12 learners on each course. You will have the opportunity to learn in a variety of different ways in a friendly, relaxed environment. The course is free (*subject to eligibility) and delivered at our partner community venue in Sinfin

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements to access this course.All applicants will be invited to an interview and assessment session. On completion of the initial assessment, you will discuss the most appropriate level of course to meet your needs.We can offer a variety of courses to meet your individual needs including Entry Level short awards, Functional Skills and GCSEs.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
