What the college says
The course is tailored to individual needs and sessions run in a supportive environment with experienced teachers. The course is suitable for people who want to increase their confidence, progress at work, get a job or help their children. The course is split into 3 units: Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening. You will develop and become confident in discussions and presentations; reading and writing a wide variety of texts; and using accurate punctuation, grammar and spelling. The Reading and Writing unit will be assessed through an external exam. The Speaking and Listening element will be carried out in college.
What you need to get on
No qualifications are necessary, but an Entry Level 3 English qualification would be an advantage. Acceptance is by individual interview and assesssment.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
