If you’ve got a passion for coaching others and would like to develop your skills further to lead sports sessions or outdoor activities, this NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership is a great place to start, as you’ll find out exactly what makes a good coach. You’ll be learning a number of essential coaching skills in this practical course, including how to prepare for a session and then lead it effectively, how to set up equipment correctly and ensure there’s a safe environment, and how to look after children in your care and teach them the skills they need to succeed. As part of this course, you’ll get to work with highly-qualified staff who have great links to professional sports clubs. As you develop the teamwork, leadership and coaching skills that will help you to secure a successful career, you’ll also get to learn all the about the sports industry, with expert advice from guest speakers and visits to top sports clubs and venues.
