Active Learning: Certificate in Independent Living Skills

What the college says

This course is specifically designed for adults who have a mild to moderate learning disability and may be particularly helpful to those who are working towards gaining independent living skills. You will need to consider the level of support you may need during the sessions as the course will have one tutor and may have one learning support assistant. This means that one-to-one support may be limited to ensure that everyone gets the help they need. However, we do provide a limited number of spaces so that your carer or support worker can also attend the course with you, should you require. Please inform us when enrolling if you intend to bring your own support so we can accommodate them. You do not need any previous experience in the subject but should have an interest in your own potential and what life has to offer. You will need to be prepared to take an active part in the sessions and to work in a group setting.
