This qualification will prepare you for junior and entry level accounting roles in a wide range of jobs and organisations. It delivers a solid foundation in finance administration - covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping, control accounts and basic costing principles. This introductory AAT qualification is the starting point to learn and progress in accounting. We offer this course on different study days or evenings so please apply and we will discuss options with you following receipt of your application.

What you need to get on

The course is open to all those aged 19 and over. No previous experience is required. To support your application you are required to complete a short English and mathematics diagnostic assessment in addition to having English and maths GCSEs or functional skills. This course is ideal for a wide range of applicants including those already employed in an accounting or finance environment, unemployed or those seeking a career change and want to move into accountancy.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
