What the college says

This course is designed for those who are or wish to be a health care professional. It is an intensive course covering: health studies, psychology, and human physiology. This is all delivered alongside study techniques and academic writing units. The course is aimed at adult learners who do not have the qualifications to move on to studying at university. Whilst working in the healthcare sector is desirable, recommendations may be given at interview. The aim of this course is not just to instill understanding of the sector but also to introduce students to the world of academia. Emphasis is placed on reading, researching, note taking, and writing for academia, particularly using appropriate resources and referencing using the Harvard referencing system.

What you need to get on

Students must preferably have GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 and above. Preferably you will want to have worked in the health and/or social care sector although this is not mandator

How you are assessed

A one-year route into university for people without A levels. Usually 19 and over.
