Who the course is aimed at: The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance. This qualification is suitable for young people who have just left school as well as for adults returning to work after a break or for anyone wishing to change career. The Foundation Certificate is open to those who are working and those who are not currently in employment. However, for the best chance for success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths.

What you need to get on

You do not need any formal qualifications to begin studying for the AAT qualification. You will need to have good numeric skills and be able to complete exams and written projects in English.

How you are assessed

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
