What the college says

The AAQ in IT are vocational qualifications at Level 3 for students aged 16+. They are designed to apply to real –life contexts to the workplace, and provide a high-quality complement to A Levels. This pathway focuses on studying the key knowledge and understanding relevant to data analytics. It includes activities and roles that are carried out in the workplace such as data modelling with spreadsheets, managing big data and the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning; planning, designing, creating and reviewing digital marketing materials that meets the needs of a specific client.

What you need to get on

Our entry requirements are five grades awarded 9–5 at GCSE/L2 merit or above at BTEC/CTEC equivalent including a minimum of GCSE Grades 4 or above in English & Maths. In addition, some subjects require a GCSE Grade 6 or above in specific entry requirements (see pages 12 and 13). For the A level subjects a level 2 BTEC/CTEC Merit counts as an equivalent GCSE Grade 5.

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
