The Pearson Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification (AAQ) BTEC National in Computing is designed to provide learners with a strong, industry-relevant foundation in computing, preparing them for progression onto Level 3 Technical Level in Digital Software Development or Higher Education, higher apprenticeships, or employment within the digital sector. The programme reflects the rapid pace of technological change. At the core of the qualification is a carefully structured set of mandatory units that ensure all learners develop a secure understanding of essential computing concepts. These include computer systems, programming, data management, cyber security, networks, and the role of professional practice within the digital industry. What you need to get on
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, you will also need to have GCSE Maths grade 4/C or above and GCSE *English at grade 3. Or A BTEC Level 2 qualification in Computing or equivalent, or relevant working experience. *Students will be required to resit English GCSE.
