For the award of Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate (Level 2), equivalent to two GCSEs at Grade A*-C, students must complete 4 units of study worth 30 credits - two mandatory units worth 5 credits each and two optional units worth 10 credits each. Mandatory units: • Unit 1 Communication in Health and Social Care. • Unit 3 Individual needs in Health and Social Care. Optional units: • To be decided depending on the interests of the group. A period of work experience is also an important component of this course.
