What the college says
This course is aimed at those people interested in languages and communication and for those who enjoy learning about other cultures. It is also aimed towards those who may wish to continue their study of French for purposes of leisure, for their career, or those who may wish to study it at university. The course will provide you with the confidence, vocabulary, social, cultural and grammatical knowledge to communicate meaningfully, both in written and spoken form. It will also equip you with the valued, advanced language skills to cope in the competitive world of work.
What you need to get on
GCSE English grade (9-5) and Maths (9-4) plus 3 GCSEs at grades 9-4 with a 6 or above grade in French
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
