What the college says
Much of the A Level Chemistry course builds directly from GCSE Chemistry or GCSE Additional Science developing much greater depth of understanding of the topics studied. These topics include The Periodic Table Bonding Rates of reaction Equilibria Acids and bases and Hydrocarbon Chemistry.
What you need to get on
GCSE English and Maths (at grades 9-5) plus 3 GCSEs at grades 9-4. These should include 6 or above in Chemistry and one other Science or 6/6 or above in Double Science.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
