Our A Level in Spanish has been developed to inspire all students who have an appreciation of the language, literature, film and culture of the Spanish-speaking world.This motivating course of study will enable you to develop an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language, the culture of Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries, as well as practical and valuable language and transferable study skills. This A Level will help to prepare students for higher education and enhance their employability profile. The aims and objectives of this qualification are to enable students to: enhance their linguistic skills. promote and develop their capacity for critical thinking. understand the language, culture and society of the country or countries where the language is spoken. develop control of the language to convey meaning, using spoken and written skills. develop their ability to interact effectively with users of the language in speech and in writing. engage critically with intellectually stimulating texts, films and other materials in the original language. develop knowledge about matters central to the society and culture, past and present, of the country or countries where the language is spoken.
