What the college says

Students who choose to take Philosophy at A level will study the Religious Studies course, provided by the Pearson Edexcel examining body. The course content is studied over two years and is divided as outlined below. Philosophy works well with a variety of subjects. In the past we have had many successful students who have also been studying Psychology, Sociology, Law, English, History and the Sciences. Many famous philosophers were also mathematicians such as Descartes and Pascal. Previous students have continued to study at university, reading courses, such as Philosophy, Theology, Art, Business and PPE. Students have gone on to work in a wide range of professions such as youth work, law, human rights, the arts and politics.
