What the college says

Psychology is a vast subject, but is usually defined as 'the science of mind and behaviour.' You will be introduced to a wide variety of topics and look at many of the central debates in psychology. You will also look at the methods that psychologists use in their research, and you will have the opportunity to use these skills by carrying out practical investigations. A critical approach to the subject and the research studied will be encouraged. You will also be encouraged to apply psychology to a wide range of cultural, social and contemporary issues. There are rarely clear cut answers in psychology, so there will be lots of room for discussion and debate.
