A to C GCSE Grades in Maths, English and Science are normally required to study this course. This qualification is linear. Linear means that students will sit the A-level exams at the end of their course. Subject content at AS will include: Social influence, Memory, Attachment, Approaches in Psychology, Psychopathology and Research methods Subject content at A-Level will include: Social influence, Memory, Attachment, Approaches in Psychology, Psychopathology, Biopsychology, Issues & debates and Research methods. Then a choice of topics selected from the following. Option 1: Relationships, Gender or Cognition and development Option 2: Schizophrenia, Eating behaviour or Stress Option 3: Aggression, Forensic Psychology or Addiction Psychologists help select and train staff in all sorts of organisations, but more generally Psychology is a useful qualification for anyone planning careers in people orientated professions.
