A2 Product Design continues to develop design and manufacturing skills covered on the AS course. Assessment is through two units - PROD3 is a written exam that is based on Design and Manufacturing. The coursework element, PROD4, is themed around the topic of Iconic Architechture. This is usually started at the end of the AS course in Yr12. Students investigate a range of architectural styles and identify a context that they can work through to a completed product. Successful students hve gon on to University to study Product Design, Architecture, Graphic Design,Mechanical Engineering and subsequently several now have successfull carreers in Product Design

What you need to get on

5 Grade 4 or above including Maths and English Language

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
