Aimed at School Leavers. Students will study both the theoretical and practical aspects of physics. First year topics help us understand how the world around us works, including particle physics, quantum physics, electricity, mechanics, waves and astrophysics. In the second year we look deeper into these subjects, while expanding our knowledge by looking at topics as diverse as nuclear power and dark matter.

What you need to get on

To study an A Level programme you will need to achieve a minimum of three grade 5s and two grade 4s at GCSE including English Language and Maths at grade 5. Each individual subject carries its own entry criteria and some subjects do require higher grades than this.
