A Level Physics is an exciting and important course which can offer you huge opportunities for your future. You will learn what’s inside a proton and how a nuclear reactor works. Learn how an engineer designs a bridge and a quantum physicist can make light act like a particle. Physics will inspire you to see the world around you in a totally new way.

What you need to get on

Six GCSEs 9-4 (or A*-C) Two at least grade 6 (or B) Two from English, Maths OR Science Students selecting A Level Physics must also study A level Maths alongside it. GCSE Maths (higher tier) grade 9-7 WITH EITHER GCSE Physics grade 9-6 OR GCSE Combined Science grades 9-9 through to 6-6. To choose more than one subject from Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths: A minimum of grades 6, 6, 7 in the chosen subjects or Maths is required.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
