Students will cover the basis of how things work, from the constituent parts of atoms out to the extent of the universe. Students will gain an understanding of mechanics, electricity, waves, quantum physics, nuclear, particle and medical physics with the addition of cosmology. Students will integrate the concepts studied with a range of practical experiments throughout each topic giving the course both an academic and practical focus.

What you need to get on

This course is open to students who have achieved two grade 6s in GCSE Combined Science and a grade 5 in Maths or a grade 6 in Physics and a second Science as well as a grade 5 in Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
