Physics is the study of the properties and interactions of matter and energy. Our understanding of many features of the everyday world relies on knowledge drawn from the ideas and methods of Physics. On this course you will study how things work, from subatomic particles to galaxies going through light, electrical and magnetic fields, electric circuits, thermodynamics, and properties of materials. You will study these phenomena in class through theory, experiments and computer simulations.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English Language and Grade 6 in Maths. PLUS Dual Science at Grade 6/6. OR Separate Sciences, Grade 6 in Physics.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
