What the college says
Photography is a creative subject which stretches the imagination and allows you to look at yourself and your environment in a new way. You will develop your skills in a series of inventive workshops using both traditional and digital methods and gain an appreciation of viewpoint, composition, camera functions and appropriate use of camera, lenses and lighting. Our studio is fully equipped for photo shoots. You will be introduced to portraiture, landscape, still life, documentary, photojournalism, fashion photography and experimental imagery.
What you need to get on
GCSE Grade 4 or above in a creative subject is useful but not essential
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
What this level means
The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
