Aimed at School Leavers. You will study the key ideas, themes, concepts and theories behind Philosophy and Religion. The Philosophy unit discusses key questions such as "Does God exist?", "Should we fear death?" and "Is there such thing as fate?". In the Ethics unit you will be discussing questions such as "Is abortion wrong?", "Is scientifically experimenting on animals wrong?" and "Should we bring back the death penalty?". While in the Study of Religion unit you will be investigating a range of religions and discussing questions focusing on "Does religion and science oppose each other?", "Are the morals and principals in one religion similar to that of another?" and "Has the expression of religious identity changed for the better?"

What you need to get on

To study an A Level programme you will need to achieve a minimum of three grade 5s and two grade 4s at GCSE including English Language and Maths at grade 5. Each individual subject carries its own entry criteria and some subjects do require higher grades than this.
