The GCSE Music A level gives you a strong foundation for higher education, where you could focus on: - Developing music skills to become a professional musician in an orchestra or session musician - Composing music for film, TV, adverts or freeland. - Work in the many elements of the music industry. - Becoming a music teacher or an instrumental teacher. - Using your musical skills and knowledge in other careers, such as event management or leisure/tourism. - Music A Level is looked upon favourbly by many top universities.
What you need to get on
GCSE Music 5 or above / BTEC Merit - Distinction and Grade 5 performance and theory exam. If GCSE Music has not been studied, then Grade 5 theory will be accepted.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
