This course is for students who want the opportunity to develop their performance skills on their instrument, along with their compositional skills. You will also advance their aural and analytical skills by listening and studying set pieces. The course is very music centred and focuses more on theory side of music, looking at the skills and techniques composers have used in written music.

What you need to get on

Grade 5 or above at GCSE and 8 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including English and Maths. Minimum of Grade 5 at instrument level

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
