Law affects virtually all aspects of our lives and regulates much of our every day activity. Studying Law gives students an understanding of the role of Law in today’s society and raises their awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals. By learning about legal rules and how and why they apply to real life, students also develop their analytical ability, decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All these skills are highly sought after by higher education and employers

What you need to get on

A minimum of a grade 5 in GCSE English is required to study A Level Law. Students’ other examination results must also demonstrate their academic aptitude and ability to write extended essays

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
