This course should rightly be called ‘Philosophy, Ethics and Religion’. It doesn’t just give you knowledge, it teaches you to think. If you have an interest in the big philosophical and ethical questions that have puzzled thinkers for centuries, then this course is definitely right for you. Our subject is unique. If you have an enquiring mind, want to develop your skills of debate, if you have opinions but are ‘able to entertain a thought without accepting it’, we would love you to join us.

What you need to get on

To study in the Sixth Form, students much achieve the general entry requirements which are a minimum of 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above from a range of subjects including Mathematics and English Language. In addition Grade 5 in Religious Studies; Grade 5 in English Language are required.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
