The Ethics and Philosophy Course offers the unique opportunity for the relevant and in-depth study of the nature and meaning of life. The study of ethics consists of- Ethical Theory Ethical behaviour - what is to be considered good, bad, right and wrong. Ethical theories - various philosophers' work on ethical values and actions. Practical Ethics Medical Ethics (abortion/right to life) Sex and Relationships The study of philosophy consists of: Greek Philosophers - Plato and Aristotle. Arguments for the Existence of God. The Problem of Evil. Religious Experience. Human Understanding of God. Contribution of Psychology to the Religious Debate. Miracles. Religious Language, The Nature of God.

What you need to get on

5+ C Grades at GCSE would normally be required. GCSE Religious Studies grade C or better would normally be expected. However, it is not essential to have studied the subject at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
