Law is for students who enjoyed English or history at GCSE, who are prepared to analyse legal scenarios and form judgments based on the facts of a case and who want to become more confident in their speaking and presentation skills. Studying law will give you the confidence to form your own opinions, debate and discuss important issues with others and come to well reasoned conclusions based on all the facts. You will be able to look at a scenario and identify the relevant legal issues, and make judgments on whether you believe a person is guilty / liable or not guilty / not liable.

What you need to get on

You must have achieved 5 good passes, including mathematics or English, where a good pass is defined as: 9-5 in a GCSE or a Merit or better at a level 2 BTEC. In addition to this minimum entry requirement, it is preferable for students to have achieved at least a good pass in any subject that they intend to study at A Level, if they have studied it at GCSE. Law 5 or above in GCSE English Language

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
