Languages are facilitating subjects as recommended by the Russell Group of Universities. An A Level in a modern foreign language such as French or Spanish would be beneficial to a great majority of courses at university, and would be particularly helpful if you choose to spend a year abroad.

What you need to get on

Minimum five GCSEs at grade 5 and above. Minimum of Grade 5 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths. A minimum of Grade 6 in the language you wish to study at A Level (either French or Spanish).
