What the college says
The course offers the opportunity for the study of both language and literature. You will study a range of Pre 20th Century and modern prose and poetry. You will write your own texts and consider purpose and audience. You will study set texts for the effectiveness of their style and content, using skills learned in language study and comment on your knowledge of literature from different historical periods. You will focus on the way spontaneous speech is represented.
What you need to get on
5+ B Grades at GCSE would normally be required. B grade passes in GCSE English Language and Literature are normally required.
