What the college says

The study of History produces a unique and challenging perspective regarding the relationship between ordinary people and the social economic and cultural situation they developed in. This course examines the issue of rights and freedoms in the modern world, with a particular focus upon 20th century American history and India’s struggle for independence from British rule.

What you need to get on

You will need five GCSEs at grades 9-4. IncludingHistory and English Literature or Language at grade 9-5. If you have missed a grade 4 in Maths by one grade it may be possible to re-sit GCSE maths in your first year.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
