If you want to understand more about the world in which we live, then you will feel right at home studying History.Far from being a 'dead' subject, it makes connections through time and encourages you to use the benefits of hindsight and perspective.You will study three periods of world history: Russia from Lenin the Yeltsin (1917-91), Mao's China (1949-76 and The British Experience of warfare (1790 - 1918).You will complete a piece of in-depth coursework on historical debates surrounding the holocaust.

Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above with a minimum average GCSE score of 4.0, including:*English Language grade 5*History grade 5, if studied before, or other relevant subject*Maths

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
