Students will study three topic areas from a wide period of history. This covers the Tudor reign from 1485-1603 with a focus on rebellion and factors that impacted the rule of each monarch; the French Revolution and the rule of Napoleon, with a focus on the causes and aftermath of the revolution; and the premiership of Winston Churchill during the Second World War and the development of British society from 1945 – 1997. Students will also complete and NEA (non-exam assessment) on an aspect of the French Revolution course.

5 GCSEs or equivalent at 5+, including 4+ in English and Maths, and 6+ in History

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
