History is designed for those who want to explore various aspects of the past from social, cultural differences to political and economic developments. During your course of study you will engage with sources and historical interpretations to further develop your understanding, analysis and evidence gathering. It is perfect for those who love debate, and forming argument. A Level History is seen as a facilitating subject for many career paths including law, politics, journalism, education and academia and you will learn a range of skills from essay writing, analysis, evidence gathering, justifying arguments and debate and as such, it compliments most other A Level subjects.
