Geography is a fascinating subject and not only will it help you to understand many of the issues facing the world today but it will also provide you with a wide range of useful and transferable skills. In addition geography gives you an opportunity to develop a sense of awe and wonder in the world around you whether this is with regard to the physical geography landscapes of water, fire and ice or the dynamics of built environments such as mega cities The combination of the physical and human geography elements in the course coupled with the data handling and practical components of fieldwork mean that geography is very well placed to complement science or arts based A Level combinations.

What you need to get on

QEHS standard entry requirements apply and in addition students will be expected to achieve a grade 6 or above in GCSE Geography. For some students it may be possible to take AS Geography as a fourth subject choice.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
