2 Exams and a non-exam assessment comprising an independent geographical investigation (4000 words) which will account for 20% of the qualification grade. Paper 1: Physical Geography (40%) 2:30 hour exam Water and Carbon cycle, Glacial systems and landscapes, Hazards. Paper 2: Human Geography (40%) 2:30 hour exam Global systems and global governance, Changing places and Population and the Environment.

What you need to get on

You need a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above including at least a grade 4 in Mathematics and a grade 5 in English. If you have alternative qualifications which are equivalent to GCSEs, your application will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE Geography is not essential but can help as A-Level builds upon many of the original concepts.
