A Level Geography

What the college says
The broad nature of the subject makes it a useful foundation for many degrees. Combined with this, the transferable skills of a high level of literacy, numeracy, reporting skills, an ability to collect data, well-developed skills in ICT and a problem-solving mentality make Geographers highly employable graduates. Many go on to jobs in finance, marketing and management, with other careers including surveying, environmental management, consultancy and journalism. At A Level there are two exam papers, one covering physical geography and the other human geography. There is also a coursework element worth 20% of the total grade.
