Geography is a study of the world around you and how we, as humans, interact with it. Many of the most important questions that shape our future will be answered by Geography. It is a subject with spans the boundary between science and arts, as shown by being one of the only subjects to be offered as both a BSc and a BA at university. The new AQA A-level Geography brings together physical and human geography with a focus on key transferable skills that employers and Universities both value highly. It comprises 2 examinations, one in each geographical discipline plus a geographical investigation based upon fieldwork undertaken.

What you need to get on

At least a 5 at GCSE Geography and 5 in English and Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
